How to Prevent and Resolve Wax Clogging in Your ToAuto Wax Melter

Clogged spouts are one of the most common issues in wax melters, especially when wax is left to cool and harden inside the valve. Follow these professional tips to keep your melter running smoothly:

✅ Prevention: How to Avoid Spout Clogging
Melt Only What You Use
Always estimate your wax needs and melt only the amount you plan to pour. This prevents leftover wax from cooling and solidifying inside the spout.

Fully Drain After Use
After each use, pour out all remaining wax from the machine. Leaving wax in the tank increases the risk of blockage when it hardens inside the spout.

🔥 What to Do if Your Spout Is Clogged
Turn on the Machine and Let It Heat Up
For larger models (8L, 10L, 15L, 30L), the spout is integrated with a heating element. Simply power on the melter and let it heat for about 15 minutes — this will typically melt any hardened wax inside the spout.

Use a Hair Dryer to Warm the Spout
If wax is still clogged, apply heat directly to the spout using a hair dryer or heat gun. Warm air will soften and melt the wax, clearing the blockage.

❌ What NOT to Do
Do NOT Remove and Boil the Spout
Disassembling the spout and placing it in boiling water may compromise the internal seals. Improper reassembly can lead to wax leaking inside the machine, which is difficult to clean and may damage components.

🧼 Extra Tip: Routine Cleaning
After every session, wipe the spout exterior and run a small amount of hot water or isopropyl alcohol through the valve (if safe and unit is unplugged).

Perform a monthly deep clean using boiling water and vinegar inside the tank — but never immerse the spout unless instructed by official support.
